Microsoft commits over $10 billion to Gulf infrastructure and digital resilience through 2030

Microsoft announced a regional framework exceeding $10 billion across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait through 2030. Unveiled on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the plan funds cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure, subsea connectivity, and digital resilience programmes covering critical data protection and business continuity, alongside partnerships with regional AI champions.

Hyperscaler investment makes regional cloud and AI capacity abundant, removing latency and data sovereignty bottlenecks.
